Trying to stay orgainzed

As anyone knows trying to stay organized is a major task. I mean there are tons of books and magazines dedicated to just that staying organized. I am trying to get back on track. Since our move this summer I have fallen off the wagon (so to speak). I have once again started making a weekly menu. This really helps me with planning (so I don't have to go to the store everyday), budgeting, and time savings. It is especially helpful on the days I have to work and don't get home until after 8:30 p.m. The kids know the game plan and can get (heat up) dinner. It also cuts down on the amount of junk food in the house. This is just some of the reasons I like a menu plan. So, since I have been asked to keep a blog and to share my menus. It's only fitting as my first blog to do just that (share this weeks menu). So, here goes:
Monday Oct. 12-- Columbus day-- Russ is with the kids and I work.--OYO (on your own)

Tuesday
Breakfast: Homemade doughnuts-- Using refrig. biscuits and shake in a bag with powdered sugar
Dinner: Low country Pork Chops (Paula Deen), Dinner rolls, Honey roasted potatoes, Salad, canned vegetable & Rice Krispy treats.

Wed -- I work and Russ is TDY

Thurs:

Friday:

Dinner: Crock pot baked ham in foil, vegetable, salad, bread, applesauce & cookies (not sure what kind to make)

Saturday
Breakfast: French toast
Dinner: Today is air show day, so I will be busy and we will pick something up.

Sunday:
Breakfast: Bagels with cream cheese
Dinner: Chicken Divan (Paula Deen), Salad, Bread & Popsicles (homemade-- I want to use my Popsicle mold)

Monday:
Breakfast: Cold Cereal day
Dinner: Cheeseburger chowder, Salad, Bread & cupcakes

Tuesday:
Breakfast: Homemade freezer breakfast burritos
Dinner: SLOPP (sausage, onions, potatoes & peppers), Bread, Salad, Vegetable & Ice cream Sundaes

This is my current menu. I will check the grocery sale fliers when they come in the mail and look for good deals on up coming meals. Let me know what you think? I try to keep it easy, while trying to keep my kids away from fast food and junk all the time. This is a battle that I am constantly fighting. I myself understand the temptation. It is much easier to run through a drive thru after I get off work then to come home and find something to eat. This has helped me streamline the process.
Hope your day is a blessed one.
